If you managed to brick your machine via installing any common OS, this really goes more into the category of badly designed hardware. The only issue I've come across is the shitty design of Logstash(filebeat is a better replacement any ways) and Elasticsearch(easily solved via bhyve/cbsd) don't play nicely with it.Īlso, what is the best way to estimate hardware compatibility so I don't brick my machine? Way more so than any Linux distro I've worked with. Less in the way of strange bugs do to half ass packaging(FreeBSD has actually avoided lots of the X issues Linux has had via not random weird ass changes to it).Īlso easier to work with OS as far as installing etc goes. Honestly it beats Linuxs hands down for all of this. ![]()
